We achieve this by following a process known as OODA – Observe, Orient, Decide, and Act.

I am 21 years and worked my way through college in a bar. We are what some people might consider upscale and trouble is a rarity but there were a couple of times that could have escalated dramatically if not for our manager being totally on his game. What I learned from the Black Iron Self Defense Seminar is to see past what one might consider “normal and usual” and become cognisant of what is “abnormal and unusual.” I love this training and look forward to future events that BISD sponsors.

I live out in the country north of DFW where you’d think that all the mess and shenanigans of the city would be far, far away…Not so much. I attended the seminar because I had, on different occasions, observed things that did not seem above board to me. This seminar TOTALLY opened my eyes to interactions I would have otherwise never noticed. I actually went out on my own and purchased some EDC (Every Day Carry) items for my family (wife and three daughters) for their personal protection and, when the next seminar comes around, I will make sure they are all there!
